Have we become complacent?

Heartworm was once considered uncommon in Lake Macquarie but has since been on the rise due to pet parents becoming complacent with prevention.

Microfilariae (adult female heartworms) are the transmissible larval stage of the parasite, transferrable to other dogs (and cats) via mosquitoes.

If your dog is not protected or if you are not sure, please make contact, Remember ONE bite is all it may take.
